Born in Boston (and, yes, an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan), Gil has lived in Rochester, New York for the past 40 years. While attending Syracuse University he became interested in photography. Gil’s subjects include landscapes, shapes and patterns found in common objects. He captures images from different perspectives. Gil continues to improve his craft by working with Ron Reznick, Moose Peterson and Vincent Versace, Peter Turnley among others.
Gil’s philosophy of photography is based on the idea that an image
is a visual fraction of time. The image will never come around again so you only have one chance to take the shot and interpret the meaning you grasp from the image.
